About Bezal Labs
Software made in service of the Church.
Bezal Labs Inc. is an Ontario not-for-profit corporation that builds software for Christians, and for the Christian charities working to serve others.
Our purpose is to further the Kingdom of God by creating exceptional software that equips Christians to grow in faith, engage deeply with Scripture, and serve others more effectively.
Why we exist
The software available for the practices of the Christian life is, mostly, not very good. Tools for prayer, Scripture reading, and discipleship tend to be dated, cluttered, or built around engagement metrics rather than the practice they claim to support.
Christian charities face a harder version of the same problem. The organizations doing the most direct work of serving others are the ones least able to afford software built properly, so they make do with spreadsheets and group chats while the work of ministry slows under its own administration.
We think that gap is worth closing, and that care and craft in a tool is itself a form of service to the person using it.
Our standard
We hold our work to a professional standard, the same one we hold ourselves to in our commercial engineering careers. Software that is fast. Designed rather than assembled. Careful with the data people trust us with. Still working in three years. We would rather ship one tool properly than five badly.
Our name
Bezalel was the craftsman appointed to build the tabernacle, filled with the Spirit of God and given skill in all kinds of crafts. Skilled making, in service of worship.

Our corporate purposes
As set out in our articles of incorporation:
- To advance the Christian religion by researching, designing, developing, maintaining, and providing software, digital tools, and other technological resources that assist Christian churches and individuals in worship, Bible study, discipleship, prayer, evangelism, ministry, and other activities that support the practice and advancement of the Christian faith.
- To advance education by creating and providing educational software, digital resources, training, and instructional materials that promote the understanding and practice of the Christian faith.
- To undertake research, innovation, and technological development in furtherance of the corporation's charitable purposes, and to make its software and digital resources available without charge for the benefit of Christian churches and individuals.
